The article discusses the history and the place of Sufism in Dagestan. Sufism penetrated into Dagestan in the early middle Ages, had a great influence on the culture, life and traditions of the peoples of Dagestan. The research object is the Sufi tradition, which is represented in the mountain region as a flexible system, conducive to the preservation of the identity and values of the religious culture of the Dagestan ethnic groups. The author observed features and the main features of Sufi teachings in the Republic and the stages of its development as a mystical-philosophical doctrine.<\/p>\r\n
