The authors come to the conclusion that the crisis of macro-identity, which arose after a change in orientation to the Western model of development, is accompanied by a negative trend &#8211; an increase in the number of representatives of Central Asia nominally mastering the identity \u201cRussian\u201d &#8211; new citizens of Russia from among migrants. It is necessary to study the practical problems of the current stage of social development in order to rethink the content of the macro-identity \u201cRussian\u201d and prevent interethnic conflicts
