TO THE ISSUE OF PROXY WARS<\/strong><\/p>\r\n

Abstract. This article highlights some issues connected with proxy wars. After World War II this type of warfare became the most common form of conflict. The emergence of nuclear weapons made direct conflict between geopolitical blocs (superpowers) virtually impossible, but the contradictions between the powers did not disappear. Also, the author draws attention to the difference between the concepts of “proxy war” and \u201chybrid war\u201d within the framework of the international political discourse of the “New Cold War”.<\/p>\r\n
