THE ORIGINALITY OF THE VIEWS OF N. A. BERDYAEV AND I. A. ILYIN ON MAN<\/strong><\/p>\r\n

This article examines the features of the anthropological views of two of the largest Russian thinkers of the end of the XIX \u2013 first half of the XX centuries \u2013 N. A. Berdyaev (1874-1948) and I. A. Ilyin (1883-1954). It is noted that the problem of the essence of a person, his place in the world and purpose occupies the main place in their work. Both philosophers did not aim at building a systematic anthropology, were based on their own experience and reflection, and also considered the essence and purpose of man in his religious dimension. I. A. Ilyin, unlike N. A. Berdyaev, tried to bring his ideas to logical completeness, clarity. If, according to I. A. Ilyin, faith lies at the center of a person’s life as the beginning that determines the whole being, nature and destiny of a person, then N. A. Berdyaev considers a person as a being called to creative self-realization, and thereby revealing the personal beginning in himself.<\/p>\r\n
