HISTORICAL AND CRIMINAL LAW PREREQUISITES FOR THE STUDY OF CRIMES RELATED TO KIDNAPPING<\/strong><\/p>\r\n

The article is devoted to a comprehensive historical and legal analysis of the development of criminal liability for kidnapping in Russian legislation. The key stages of the evolution of legal norms are examined \u2013 from the first mentions in ancient Russian legal sources to the current state of the institution of liability under Article 126 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation. Special attention is paid to the specifics of regulation in different historical periods: the era of the Russian Empire, the Soviet period, and the modern era. The reasons and prerequisites for the criminalization of this act are considered, and problematic aspects of qualification are analyzed, including differentiation from related offenses. Based on the analysis, conclusions are drawn about the significance of historical experience for modern law enforcement practice and the further improvement of criminal legislation in the field of personal freedom protection.<\/p>\r\n
